Personal Watercraft / Jet Boat Repair

Cayuga Onondaga BOCES 1879 West Genesee St. Road, Auburn

Through a combination of classroom and hands-on training, students will learn the basic skills needed to work on personal watercraft and jet boat systems and drives. They will gain specific experience with Yamaha watercraft along with skills that will transfer to other brands. Students will receive Yamaha Introduction to Jet Propulsion (ITJP) Certification upon successful completion of the course.

Ice Dyeing and Shibori Workshop

Schweinfurth Art Center 205 Genesee St, Syracuse

One of the most magnificent processes is incorporating ice dyeing with the ancient art of Shibori. The results are drenched with color and are both elaborate and gorgeous! Getting these vibrant results can be tricky, requiring time and concentration, but it’s worth it. The dyed material can be used for quilting, clothing, and a multitude of fabric art options. “An Apple for Harriet Tubman” Children’s Event

In this special reading event, illustrator Susan Keeter will join the Seward House Museum team in leading a read-along of her book, “An Apple for Harriet Tubman.” After exploring the relationships between Harriet Tubman, Margaret Stewart, Frances Seward, and Fanny Seward, Ms. Keeter will lead a collaborative mural art project in which all attendees can participate!
