Foundation

The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce Foundation (the Foundation) is the 501(c)3 arm of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber). It was formed in 1993 (originally as the Auburn Chamber of Commerce Foundation) to support the educational and charitable programs of the Chamber, a role that has evolved over time. Through the years, the Foundation has applied for and received numerous grants and donations for Leadership Cayuga, IGNITE, and the Finger Lakes Grant Information Center, as well as a few other special initiatives on occasion. In October 2016, the Foundation became the owner of the building at 2 State Street that houses the Chamber through a generous donation from the Stardust Foundation. The building is also home to a number of partner organizations and tenants, including the Cayuga Economic Development Agency, SCORE, the United Way of Cayuga County, and a New York State of Health Navigator.

Mission Statement

“To develop and promote financial support mechanisms that sustain the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce’s educational, charitable and leadership training programs, and support the Chamber’s initiatives to enhance the quality of life and workplace in Cayuga County.”
