2019 First Quarter RECAP

Tracy VerrierThe Chamber team has been working hard and keeping busy. We are very excited to have launched our BRAND NEW WEBSITE! In particular, check out your member directory listing. There is a lot more in the new directory for you to spruce up your listing. Click on your business name to view your profile page. Email us your photos, logos, and/or descriptions if you would like to add to your member profile page. Click here to see a sample of a page that utilizes these options.

January included a few great events, including a Networking 101 educational seminar with Linda Galbato of Wells College that led directly into an awesome Business After Five at Next Chapter Brewpub. Next we were at YMCA for a Business At Noon, and then it was our 3rd annual Restaurant Week! This year 15 Chamber member restaurants participated, offering the community a great selection of deals and prefix menus. Then there was IGNITE the Winter at the Hilton Garden, which was a blast as always with food, music, and the famous Chili and Chowder cookoff.

More recently, we partnered up with the Skaneateles Chamber and visited the Holiday Inn for a Business After Five. In addition to plenty of great food and drink, we were excited to showcase a few of our newest Chamber members: Onondaga Coach, Live It Fitness & Training, A&M Graphics, Serenity Wellness, and Crystal Clear Life Coaching.

The Finger Lakes Grants Information Center has also been hosting monthly sessions called Foundation Friday. The fourth Friday of every month, FLGIC shows a webinar about a grant writing or fundraising topic. This is an opportunity to get a number of nonprofit professionals together to learn something new, and then share ideas with each other related to the topic at hand.

Want more? No problem. We have plenty of events and opportunities coming up. Check our BRAND NEW WEBSITE for a full list of upcoming events, including educational seminars, networking events, and luncheons.

The next big event coming up is the State of the City and County Luncheon coming up March 28 at the Holiday Inn. If you haven’t registered yet, time is running out! Make sure to register today!

We are also now taking nominations for our Awards Luncheon in May. Nominate a business for a Business Leader Award, a woman entrepreneur for the Phyllis Goldman Award, or a Leadership Cayuga Alum for the Community Leadership Award. All nominations are due March 29.

And finally, did I mention we launched a BRAND NEW WEBSITE?

Best Wishes,

Tracy Verrier
