COAST Physical Therapy

Mike is a veteran physical therapist coming to us with many years of experience in a variety of settings. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University in 1984. He spent the early part of his career working and learning in several local outpatient practices before joining the staff at Upstate Medical University Hospital as an outpatient specialist in orthopedics and spine care. Over the course of his career, he has focused his continuing education on various schools of mechanical interventions for musculoskeletal pain, including the McKenzie System of Diagnosis and Treatment of Spinal Disorders, Brian Mulligan’s Mobilization with Movement Techniques, Dr. Shirley Sharmann’s approach to Movement System Impairments, The McConnell Approaches for correcting Upper and Lower Extremity Disorders, Evaluation and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Techniques. Mike likes to spend his free time on his hobbies, which include designing and making stained glass pieces, woodworking, and soapstone carving.
