Cayuga Museum of History & Art

The Cayuga Museum of History and Art is the premiere cultural institution in Auburn, presenting exhibits, preserving the birthplace of talking movies and operating a multi-arts performance venue. The Cayuga Museum of History and Art has a dual focus – local history and the invention of sound film. We provide a forum for the public to realize, interact with and appreciate our shared past and unfolding present to help shape a better future.  We operate the Museum, the Case Research Laboratory and the Carriage House Theater. We collect, preserve and interpret objects from Auburn, Cayuga County and the Finger Lakes region.
