This program focuses on broad, transferrable skills, including and understanding of heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industry, and demonstrates elements of the industry such as planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, the underlying principles of technology, and health safety, and environmental issues. Learners should obtain EPA certification prior to leaving school in order to be employed in any job that requires work with refrigerants. Instruction includes a combination of classroom theory and practical experience.

This program provides students the entry level skills required to start a career in automotive repair and maintenance, specifically for diesel-powered equipment. The program is delivered through an intensive hands-on lab approach, allowing students to concentrate on practical skills and execution alongside supplemental online curriculum. Students will become proficient in preventive maintenance and inspections by performing procedures in electrical, brakes, lubrication, hub seals, HVAC, Aftertreatment systems, and diagnostics equipment.

Both Ends of the Rainbow is an annual exhibit that features more than 1,000 works of art created by pre-K to 12th-grade students in the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES district as well as senior citizens who are Schweinfurth members or live in Cayuga County. They will learn centering, basic throwing techniques, trimming, glazing, and more to begin their journey with clay. Cost includes 25 pounds of clay, access to the clay studio outside of class, and use of community tools and glazes. While this class is geared toward beginners, students who have some introductory skills that they wish to expand on are welcome.

This course is designed to prepare students for the CDL Permit Test and includes general knowledge, combination (CDL A only) and airbrakes. The instructor will point out important information in the Commercial Driver's Manual and review practice test questions so students become familiar with how questions can be worded on the actual test. CDL trucks will be available for students to see first hand the topics covered, providing a better understanding.
