The Town of Owasco has made great strides with advancing the Climate Smart Communities program. The Town registered for the program, and advanced its certification process via the implementation of climate smart technologies. The Town of Owasco is the first within Cayuga County to achieve bronze level certification as a Climate Smart Community. We will share the Town’s experience with the program, describe the Climate Smart actions the Town has advanced, and provide recommendations for those interested in advancing this program for their municipality.
