Harriet Tubman Bicentennial Summer Art Camp

Storyteller and artist Vanessa Johnson will lead two Summer Art Camps at the Schweinfurth Art Center from Aug. 8 to 12, 2022. The morning camp, which meets from 9 a.m. to noon, is for children age 6 to 10 and will explore Harriet Tubman’s Underground Railroad history through art. The afternoon camp, which meets from 1 to 4 p.m., is for children 11 to 15 and will celebrate Harriet Tubman’s life through art, storytelling, and song. Johnson is also featured in an Emerging Artists Project exhibit at the Schweinfurth and Cayuga Museum of History & Art, “In God’s Voice: A Celebration of the Spirituality of Harriet Tubman,” through Aug. 14, 2022.
