We’re incredibly pleased to announce Octane Social House will be kicking off Black History Month with a young, upcoming author, Josh House, pseudonym Josué Casa (one of Rob’s 8th grade students from Alice Deal Middle School’s class of 2012) on Saturday, February 5th at 10 AM.
Josué Casa is a Washington D.C. born African-American author, poet, strategist, and performer who lived life in the United States, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Peru. Josué, a 23 year old at the time, wrote his first independently published poetry collection, ‘Mahogany: Reflections of a Young Black Man’. This work of art released on November 19, 2021. This collection and the works to come grapples with the conception and application of love and compassion in our world, navigating purpose, and identifying what success truly is in the 21st century.
We look forward to hosting this incredibly talented young man at his first book signing in New York State!
