Charlotte Cushman Pride Programs

Nineteenth-century LGBTQ+ figure Charlotte Cushman comes to life in this two-part series commemorating Pride Month. First, SHM Summer Intern Grace Wiseman portrays Cushman in a dramatic reading of the famous stage actresses’ letters to the Seward family. Then SHM Director of Education Jeff Ludwig will discuss Cushman’s life and legacy.

This event will be held at the Auburn Equal Rights Heritage Center, and is FREE and open to the public.
