Economic Development Specialist – Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA)

The Economic Development Specialist (EDS) is a full time position that, under the direction of the Executive Director, will focus on the retention and expansion of existing businesses with more than ten employees and work on business attraction activities to recruit new businesses to Cayuga County.  Main functions will include business visitations, identification of opportunities and challenges, problem solving, identifying and responding to business attraction leads, and establishing connections within and throughout the Cayuga County and Central New York business networks.  The EDS will provide support services to the Executive Director in the area of opportunity identification, project research, and deal structuring.  Success in this position will be demonstrated through volume of business visitations, quality of interactions, business projects successfully coordinated and guided to completion, and development and management of a strong network of connections.
