DESCRIPTION:East Hill Inner Wellness will host Kinship Connections from 5 pm – 6 pm on the 3rd Monday of each month starting January 15. This support group will be held at East Hill Medical Center\, 144 Genesee Street\, 2nd Floor. There is no cost to participate and childcare is available with advanced notice by calling 315-253-8477 Prompt 6. More and more\, non-parental caregivers are serving as surrogate parents for children other than their own\, usually in response to family crises and other social issues. Raising a child unexpectedly impacts every aspect of a caregiver’s life. As a result\, non-parental caregivers face many challenges. This group is designed to support the physical and mental health of non-parental caregivers through education\, development of coping strategies\, peer support and connection\, addressing caregiver fatigue\, and helping to access resources and services.

DESCRIPTION:Chris Franjola is a writer/comedian who can currently be heard on his wildly successful podcast Cover to Cover with Chris Franjola and Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop. Cover to Cover has just reached one million downloads and has over 3500 5-star reviews on iTunes and was just voted Pop Sugar’s 25 Funniest Podcasts. \nChris can also be seen as a contributing panelist on Lights Out with David Spade on Comedy Central and Fox’s comedy game show\, Punchline. He was a writer and a regular performer on E!’s hit show “Chelsea Lately” for 8 years. Together with the talented writing staff\, Chris wrote over 1500 episodes while performing on the show more than anyone else besides Chelsea Handler and Chuy. During his time on the show\, he created some of the show’s most memorable characters like Gay Caveman\, Bieber Man\, Johnny Depp\, Seventeen Magazine Players and many more. \nHe also starred on the critically acclaimed scripted comedy series “After Lately\,” which aired for three seasons on E!._He was the host of the Sons of Anarchy aftershow Anarchy Afterword\, airing live on FX. Last year Chris released his first comedy album “The Shallow End” which received rave reviews and stayed in iTunes Top 10 Comedy Albums for 5 weeks. \nChris has also appeared on The Josh Wolf Show on CMT and Funniest Fails on Fox. When he isn’t busy writing and acting\, he’s performing stand-up on the road\, headlining venues all over the country. Before Chelsea Lately\, Chris wrote for other shows\, including Family Guy\, the MTV Video Music Awards\, and the original Chelsea Handler Show.

DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make an Easter time design in the traditional Ukrainian lyshtva method\, led by artist Nataliia Shynkareno. This workshop offers a more detailed opportunity to learn about Ukrainian traditional embroidery. In addition to the previously introduced technique of diagonal lyshtva embroidery\, the participants will learn to incorporate shtapivka (a running stitch) and a double cross into the design. All materials will be provided by the instructor.
