DESCRIPTION:The Auburn Prison\, known today as the Auburn Correctional Facility\, is one of the oldest prisons in the country. For just over 200 years the facility has housed incarcerated individuals and during that time many changes have been made. This exhibit is a midpoint between old and new as we endeavor to create a permanent exhibit about the Auburn Correctional Facility. DESCRIPTION:Raanan Hershberg is a loud\, neurotic comedian from Louisville\, KY. He recently made his national television debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden. In 2017\, he was a finalist in StandUp NBC and The Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta\, GA. In 2018\, he was a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival. He regularly opens for Kathleen Madigan in sold out theaters across the country. His first album Self-Helpless climbed all the way to the top of the iTunes Comedy Charts. His comedy has been featured on “Laughs” on FOX and is regularly played on Sirius XM. He is the founder of Character Assassination\, a popular fictional roast series that started in Louisville and has now branched out to The Laugh Factory in Chicago and The Creek and the Cave in New York City\, and was selected to be a part of TBS’s The New York Cmedy Festival this year. DESCRIPTION:East Hill Inner Wellness will host Kinship Connections from 5 pm – 6 pm on the 3rd Monday of each month starting January 15. This support group will be held at East Hill Medical Center\, 144 Genesee Street\, 2nd Floor. There is no cost to participate and childcare is available with advanced notice by calling 315-253-8477 Prompt 6. More and more\, non-parental caregivers are serving as surrogate parents for children other than their own\, usually in response to family crises and other social issues. Raising a child unexpectedly impacts every aspect of a caregiver’s life. As a result\, non-parental caregivers face many challenges. This group is designed to support the physical and mental health of non-parental caregivers through education\, development of coping strategies\, peer support and connection\, addressing caregiver fatigue\, and helping to access resources and services.

DESCRIPTION:The Auburn Music Boosters are thrilled to announce that after last year’s successful Electrify Your Symphony program\, we have secured the renowned trumpet player\, Al Chez\, to conduct exclusive music clinics for our students and perform a live concert with his band\, The Brothers of Funk Big Band. Al Chez\, known for his incredible talent and extensive experience\, has been the trumpeter for the CBS Orchestra on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and has collaborated with musical icons such as Bon Jovi\, The Rolling Stones\, and Eric Clapton. As a Yamaha teaching artist he has conducted hundreds of clinics at schools around the country where his easy-going attitude and out-of-this-world trumpet playing is both inspiring and motivational to the students. The Brothers of Funk Big Band is a high energy band\, (which features sisters too) that averages 15 amazing talented cats from the NY area\, as well as special players sitting in at any given gig.
