‘No Passport Required’ Season 2 premieres Jan. 20 on WCNY-TV; Celebrate series with local foodie event at WCNY March 5

 

WCNY, Central New York’s public broadcaster will premiere Season 2 of the PBS series “No Passport Required” Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. The series continues Mondays at 9 p.m. through Feb. 17.

 

Join Chef Marcus Samuelsson in an inspiring journey across the U.S. with the PBS series, “No Passport Required.” Share in a celebration of culture as he explores the diversity of immigrant culinary traditions woven into American culture. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, Samuelsson is passionate about demonstrating the way food unites people of all backgrounds.

 

Celebrate cuisine from around the world prepared by talented chefs, including New Americans who are enriching the culinary culture of Central New York. Working with partners, such as the Salt City Market, this event will showcase chefs sharing not just their food but their stories. Also featured will be screenings of content from the series. “No Passport Required” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on WCNY-TV from Jan. 20–Feb. 17.
