The Harriet Tubman Freedom Music Festival is poised to be the next Global Citizens Festival!  The Global Citizens Festival is a movement to end extreme poverty, and the Tubman Freedom Music Festival a global “Celebration of What It Means to Be Free”.

This year the Harriet Tubman Freedom Music Festival and the National Harriet Tubman Freedom Awards, led by the Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre and New York Institute of Dance & Education, is commemorating the 400th year an enslaved black person first stepped foot on American soil in 1619 in Virginia. The “400 for 400 Campaign for Freedom” is a 30-day multi-year campaign aimed at marshaling multi-year support of this important world-class event, the Harriet Tubman Freedom Music Festival. The campaign seeks 400 businesses and individuals to step up and make sponsorship contributions to the Harriet Tubman Freedom Music Festival in honor of this surreal anniversary.  You and your company have been helping to change our community for years, so we ask that you extend that support to the Harriet Tubman Freedom Music Festival. Click here to learn more about how you can contribute!

If you are unable to contribute at this time that’s okay we still invite you to join us for a free open-air NYIDE and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre musical performance celebrating what it means to be free.
