Auburn Theological Seminary and Auburn. Concern for the spiritual health of the pioneer families of Western and Central New York inspired the creation of the Auburn Theological Seminary. Founded in 1818 and built by the hands of Auburnians, the institution was to become an influential exporter of religious thought in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In honor of the 125th Anniversary of Willard Chapel, Andrew Roblee, Project Architectural Historian with Environmental Design and Research will discuss the history of the Auburn Theological Seminary, including the important figures, buildings, and the principles that guided its progress over twelve decades.

This event is FREE. The Chapel is handicap accessible through its north entrance off Seymour Street. Tickets are available at Willard Chapel, 17 Nelson Street, Auburn, NY during our regular hours Tuesday-Friday 10 AM – 5 PM or call 315-252-0339.
